One of the oldest and most historical buildings in the Alton area is the Mineral Springs Mall. It was founded by two german immigrants August and Herman Luer in 1909. Mineral Springs Mall was originally famous for it's mineral springs which were said to have medicinal properties. Mineral Springs Mall was built as a resort hotel, which brought in tourists from all over the world. Another great feature of the hotel was the Crystal River Ballroom, a luxurious ballroom that could seat several hundred guests. After some time the hotel began losing it's shine, and the building started to close in the 1960's. Historic Mineral Springs Mall was reopened in the 1970's as an antique shopping mall.

Historic Mineral Springs Mall features the luxurious Crystal River Ballroom. The Crystal River Ballroom has a seating capacity of up to 300 guests and has a panoramic view of the Mississippi River and Clark Bridge. Mineral Springs Mall has meeting and conference rooms that will accommodate from 10 to 300 people. Your wedding or special event will be unique and unforgettable in Historic Mineral Springs Mall

On the main floor as you enter the mall, are all of the antique and specialty shops. They range in many styles and products and have a unique experience for the shopper. Persons interested in leasing space for an antique shop, specialty shop, or office space can check the "spaces for lease" page for more information on availability.
